DON'T put notes on the door when going out;

DON'T GO INSIDE if you arrive home and suspect someone may have been inside; leave quietly and call the Police

CALL 000 and report any incidents or unusual activities as soon as possible

CARRY your handbag against you - don't hang it over your arm; never leave your handbag in a shopping trolley; never leave a handbag unattended
DON'T carry any more cash than is necessary
DON'T display large sums of cash.

NEVER pick up hitchhikers
TAKE YOUR KEYS with you, and lock your car when getting fuel

LOCK your bag and valuables in the boot;

ALWAYS be vigilant when using an ATM - watch for people lurking behind or nearby
BE WARY of con artists with get-rich schemes that probably are too good to be true
REPORT suspicious persons to the bank
SHIELD the screen with your body to prevent others from seeing your PIN
REPORT any fears you may have that you have been swindled or conned to your local police and your bank
NEVER withdraw money from your bank accounts for anyone except yourself
REMEMBER - if you never report a crime the criminals are free to cheat others again and again - and you have less chance
of getting your money or valuables back
